About Me

Dana Kinlaw is a creative force to be reckoned with—an award-winning Art Director with over a decade of experience shaping visuals in the entertainment industry. From jaw-dropping motion graphics and VFX to stunning photography, Dana’s career has been a vibrant journey of storytelling through design.

It all began as a freelance motion designer, where his talent caught the attention of Comedy Central. After five years sharpening his skills and delivering standout work, Dana brought his creative magic to BET Networks. There, he was instrumental in redefining the network’s on-air identity, leading its celebrated rebrand.

As Senior Art Director at BET, Dana left his mark on everything from high-profile promo campaigns and pitches to show-stopping events like the BET Awards, Hip Hop Awards, and Upfront. He also helped propel record-breaking original programming to new heights, blending bold ideas with visionary leadership.

Now at Nickelodeon, Dana continues to thrive—helming marquee projects like the 2024 Kids' Choice Awards and SpongeBob's unforgettable 25th Anniversary celebration. Yet, even while managing blockbuster campaigns, he remains deeply involved in the creative process, hands-on with design, animation, and composition.

Outside his professional pursuits, Dana channels his artistic energy into photography, transforming fleeting moments into timeless stories. For him, creativity is more than a talent—it’s the essence of how he interprets and connects with the world around him
